SARS staff strike as deadline for tax returns approaches Professional Services Editor THE South African Revenue Service (SARS) faces strike action today, even as the deadline for the submission of manual tax returns draws closer. Trade unions rejected SARS's revised wage offer of between 9% and 11% on a sliding scale yesterday. They are demanding an increase of 13%.
