CNB says plans no hike in required capital adequacy of banks ------------------------------------------------------------ Prague - The Czech National Bank (CNB) is not preparing any plan to raise the requirements for capital adequacy of the banking sector, the CNB said in a press release today in response to an article in the latest issue of weekly Euro which appeared today. Euro said the CNB plans to make it more difficult for commercial banks to send most of their profits in the form of dividends to their foreign parent companies. According to the central bank, CNB vice-governor Miroslav Singer said clearly in his original statement for Euro that banks have enough capital and that the CNB sees no need to demand an increase in their capital adequacy, …
