SWEDISH TELECOMMUNICATIONS solution provider Ericsson has been appointed the main technology partner for Jalenas, Malaysia's first Open Access fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) high-speed broadband infrastructure.

Jalenas' first ever city network was launched by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in Kuantan, Pahang earlier this month as its first phase roll-out. Under the partnerships with Jalenas' operator High Speed Broadband Technology Sdn Bhd, Ericsson will be responsible to supply, build, system integrate, commission and manage the open access network.
