Section: General News - The government needs to find a way to integrate the Social Security Fund with a proposed national pension fund, leading economist Ammar Siamwalla says, the Bangkok Post reports.
Dr Ammar, an honorary economist for Thailand Development Research Institute, on August 31 told a seminar the SSF provided members with medical and social welfare before retirement while the national pension fund would be aimed at paying a pension to people over 60 years old.
