The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has given Sh11.4 million to two women groups in Moroto District to support income generating activities.

The beneficiararies include Alakar Women Group in Iriir Sub-county and Moroto Municipal Women Group. The projects receiving the support deal mainly in arts and crafts. The women are expected to use the money to expand their businesses and buy implements.
