RESEARCH and development breakthrough does not happen overnight but rising to the challenge, Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has generated various inventions, technologies and innovations that have contributed significantly to the industries.

For instance, it played a major role in the early development of the rubber wood furniture industry, which currently contributes more than RM5 billion in export earnings.
