Recent media reports pointing to fresh threats to the fragile inclusive government make depressing reading.
More so for long suffering Zimbabweans, who felt the inclusive government, although not perfect or exactly a product of political reconciliation or unity among the main political parties in the country, offered the best means out of a political purgatory and nearly a decade of economic decline. I believe I speak for many Zimbabweans when I say the year 2008 is one we all wish to put behind us much sooner rather than later.
Indeed, since the signing of the power sharing agreement last February and the subsequent installation of a government bringing together members of Zanu-PF [Zimbabwe African National Union -Patriotic Front] and the two formations of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), a great deal has happened to transform the lives of ordinary Zimbabweans.
