Leopard attack injures one

KURSEONG, 26 AUG: A resident of the Bimitar-Longview Tea Estate area under Kurseong sub-division, Minu Tamang (37), was severely injured when a leopard attacked her yesterday.

Mrs Tamang was plucking tea leaves at the plantation when the leopard attacked. She has been admitted to the sub-divisional hospital, said the victim's husband, Mr Shyam Lepcha. Panic prevails in the area and the situation has worsened as the leopard was found again in the area this morning. ;SNS
