JAMMU, 26 AUG: Miss Mehbooba Mufti, leader of People's Democratic Party (PDP), today said the separatist sentiment in Jammu and Kashmir cannot be addressed by filling up jails or muzzling the voice of dissent but needs a bold political handling to reach out to the people.

Speaking on the chiefminister's grants in the J&K State Assembly today, Miss Mufti said Azadi sentiment could not be tackled without understanding its genesis and responding to it with an alternative.
