KALNA, 25 AUG: Mohammedan Sporting Club started their seasons campaign with a success as they beat Chirag United 4 - 2 in a tie breaker in the final of Kalna Independence Cup 2009 today.

MSC got a free kick in the 20th minute. Satyajit Bose made no mistake in giving MSC the 1-0 lead in the first half.

In the second half Chirag coach Subrata Bhattacharyya got the positive result when he supplanted Malswamma Hmar with ex-East Bengal footballer Parveen Kumar through whom Chirag equalised in the 58th minute.
