Aug. 26--WEST PALM BEACH -- Large swaths of Palm Beach County agricultural land still open to development no longer have to abide by affordable-housing requirements, county commissioners decided Tuesday. After years of sparring with developers to keep some new homes priced for middle-income buyers, commissioners Tuesday lifted the affordable-housing requirements for new developments in rural areas that include Loxahatchee, the Acreage and other western properties.
