Sterling Commerce will further Internet-enable its electronic data interchange (EDI) line of products with additions to its Gentran, Commerce, and Connect that were announced at its EC Strategies '98 customer conference in Toronto last week.

Sterling Commerce is now shipping its Gentran Web Suite to let enterprise users integrate their systems with their business partners via a Web interface to exchange EDI documents. The suite also provides an Internet transport to securely automate the exchange of files.

The company also is adding Commerce:Tracker to its Commerce suite to assist users with Web-based tracking of shipments. The system will automate shipment …
