Aug. 20--WEST PALM BEACH -- Upset with new homework time limits for elementary schools, Palm Beach County parents want administrators to ease the extra load on their children.

The school district this week instituted the homework expectations as part of a move away from the traditional one-teacher model for the third, fourth and fifth grades at all but five elementary schools.

Parents on Wednesday told the School Board they object because the homework times exceed the nationally recognized standards of 10 minutes of work multiplied by the grade level.
