Listed property posts strong returns Sector beaten only by equities last month, which performed better than all other asset classes THABANG MOKOPANELE Property Correspondent SA's listed property sector was the second-best-performing asset class last month with a total return of 7,84%, beaten only by equities, which posted a healthy 10,1%.

Equities outperformed other asset classes as a result of the capital markets strengthening during the month, with the yield to maturity on RSA long-term gilts ending the month at 8,88%, from 8,97% in June.
