Labour Minister John Munyes on Tuesday called on the Government of Southern Sudan to immediately release five Kenyan nurses and one doctor kidnapped in the country's Kakweta Region [as received].

An Angry Munyes said failure to release the six in two days would strain the relations between Kenya and Sudan.

The five nurses and a doctor are said to have been kidnapped as they tried to rescue a girl who is believed to have been raped by SPLA soldiers.
