Oracle to link Web with decision-support tools Express Server, Discoverer ship in May.(Product Announcement)

Boosting its decision-support tools, Oracle by early May plans to release versions of its Express Server online analytical processing engine and Discoverer front-end analysis tool that will funnel information to Oracle's Reports product, for Web-based report viewing.

The company within the next few weeks also will detail plans for data-warehousing interfaces for third-party enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications. New Express and Discoverer products are expected to ship in early May and may eventually be bundled with Reports.

The upgrade to Discoverer, Version 3.1, along with Express 6.1, will support publishing of reports on the Web via the Oracle Reports …
