General Chemical to buy Reheis. (General Chemical Group Inc.; Reheis Inc.)

Reheis Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of antiperspirant actives, was purchased in February by The General Chemical Group, Inc., a leader in the supply of inorganic-based chemicals and manufactured products.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The agreement is subject to regulatory approval.

Philip I. White, president and CEO of Reheis since 1986, along with the rest of the management team, will remain in their positions at the Berkeley Heights, New Jersey-based company.
