The Corrupt Practices planned and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is to ensure that council chairmen spend funds judiciously launch of the Local Government Integrity Initiative on August 10 by the Independent.

The initiative is a proactive measure taken by the ICPC to reduce corruption at the third tier of government. "We are targeting those at the grassroots to sensitize them on how they can make their chairmen accountable," the anti-corruption agency's Spokesman, Folu Olamiti, said yesterday.
