KOTA BARU: Two women born with deformed legs are appealing for donations to help them buy prosthetics costing RM25,000.

Nor Zaliha Mat Yaakob, 33, from Kampung Besar Semerak, Pasir Puteh needs RM7,000 for the artificial leg. The mother of a 7-year-old girl, Nor Zaliha said her disability meant she could only do simple work such as cooking and laundry.

"I hope to be more mobile but I cannot afford the RM7,000.

"I receive RM300 monthly from the Welfare Department and it is used to provide food for the family. My husband, Mohd Rosdi Samad, had both legs …
