Soldier gets 30 years' jail in rape appeal.
SEREMBAN: The High Court yesterday enhanced the jail term and caning imposed on a 23-year-old soldier for raping and sodomising a 10-year-old girl six times.
Redzuan Ahmad Zahari will now have to spend 30 years in jail in addition to 20 strokes of the rotan.
High Court judge Abdul Alim Abdullah set aside the sentence of 12 years' jail and six strokes of the rotan meted out by the Sessions Court for each offence.
