COMMODITIES: CPI-based inflation rate surges to 9.29%.
from BUSINESS LINE, August 01, 2009 New Delhi, July 31 - The annual inflation rate based on the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers rose to a four-month high of 9.29 per cent in June from 8.63 per cent a month earlier, the Labour Bureau said on Friday. The CPI-IW inflation rate was 7.69 per cent a year ago.
