KUALA TERENGGANU: The gathering of a group of people to hand over a memorandum about Maika Holdings on Thursday was simply a "tit-for-tat" action, MIC chief Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said yesterday.
He said the group came to the MIC headquarters ostensibly to hand over a memorandum on the Maika Holdings shares but they were actually out to create problems, "It's not about the Maika issue. They just came to create problems. "This is because the MIC chose to highlight the Kampung Lorong Buah Pala issue, where the Penang state government has not handled the matter properly despite the promises (Pakatan Rakyat politicians) made in the 2008 general election.
