COUPLE'S SUIT AGAINST MPKj DISMISSED WITH COSTS.

from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency SHAH ALAM, July 31 (Bernama) -- The High Court here dismissed with costs a suit brought by a couple against the Klang Municipal Council (MPKj) seeking RM1.55 million in damages over the demolition of the garage of their house, nine years ago.

Judge Rosnaini Saub made the decision after hearing testimony from the two plaintiffs, Mak Meng Oi, a contractor and his wife How Keen Lee, a businesswoman, both in their 50s, besides three witnesses from the defendant, MPKj.

In her judgement, Rosnaini said MPKj had acted in accordance to the law in demolishing the garage, which was not built according to the approved plan.
