Ready Mix readies auction Ready Mix, the listed concrete company, is considering a sale, hiring Lincoln International as its adviser to help weigh the strategy.

The concrete company is looking for a buyer as the pace of the housing market, a primary outlet for its product, has slowed to a crawl.

Ready Mix, however, said the move to hire Lincoln was "in response to recent interest." The company did not identify bidders and declined to comment. An SEC filing from March reveals that Insight Equity had entered into a confidentiality agreement with the company to review its books. Insight, earlier this year, took private Meadow Valley Corp., which spun off Ready Mix through a 2005 IPO.
