Speaker's Ire at Absent Ministers.

Kenya House Speaker Kenneth Marende has lashed out at the Executive for neglecting Parliamentary business on Thursday.

Mr Marende was irked after ministers failed to respond to MPs' questions despite them being in the Order Paper-House timetable.

The Speaker reprimanded Cabinet ministers for being "casual in their approach" due to their "callous attitude" and further dismissed them as not being "awake to the job at hand."

"What's all these? Cabinet ministers are absent, assistant ministers are absent, where are the whips?" the Speaker asked.

It was a rare spectacle, although not surprising given the Cabinet …
