Real Software Inc. last week unveiled REALbasic, its Basic programming tool for the Mac, as a free public beta on its Web site.
The environment, due to ship by early summer for $99, is based on an object-oriented version of Basic and can create 680x0 and PowerPC Mac applications and Java applets.
The tool's interface builder includes radio buttons, tab panels and pop-up menus that developers can drag and drop into an application interface. It comes with a code editor, which gives users a hierarchical view of the interface objects, and a debugger. The tool lets developers use HyperCard ...
