Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State has dismissed the impeachment threat against President Umaru Yar'Adua by the House of Representatives over allegation of non-implementation of the 2009 Appropriation Act, saying it is "not a serious issue".

He also said that the plot was the handiwork of opposition political parties that cannot see the light of the day, as according to him, the House is dominated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
