Oklahoma City crash victim Ron Meyer was 'caring': Wife will proceed with adoption after plane accident.

Jul. 28--An Oklahoma City pilot who died in an airplane crash Saturday and his wife, who was injured in the crash, were in the process of adopting a baby girl from Vietnam, a co-worker said Monday. Ron and Nam Meyer named the baby girl Phoenix. The girl is 9 months old, said Julia Crist, operations manager at Phoenix Fabrication, the countertop manufacturing business Meyer owned in Oklahoma City. "They had been over there (Vietnam) a couple of times this year," Crist said.

She said Nam Meyer, who was born in Vietnam, plans to proceed with the adoption. Crist said funeral services for Ron Meyer are pending.
