People of all ages took time out Wednesday morning to watch the spectacle of a solar eclipse.

In Sakaide, Kagawa Prefecture, about 200 children patiently waited for a glimpse of the astronomical phenomenon at a local library.

The children from primary and nursery schools near the municipal Ohashi Memorial Library were concerned they would not be able to see the eclipse due to heavy cloud cover.

But at 10:33 a.m., the sun peeped through the clouds for about 10 seconds.
