Philippines: Sabban takes over as Philippine Marine Corps commandant.

Section: General News - Former Task Force Comet commander Maj. Gen. Juancho Sabban took over the helm as the new commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps in Fort Bonifacio on Friday, replacing the new chief of the Western Mindanao Command Maj. Gen. Ben Dolorfino.

Sabban becomes the 23rd commandant of the more than 8,000 elite warriors from the sea in a customary change-of- command ceremony attended by no less than the Navy Flag Officer-in-Command as the presiding officer and guest of honor.
