Anton Foster will start the 2009-2010 season at Eastwood Town after holding clear-the-air talks with manager Paul Cox.

The midfielder skippered the Badgers to the UniBond Premier Division title last season.

Cox initially wanted to take up a one-year option on the former Buxton man.

However, when it emerged Mansfield Town had made an approach for him, Foster indicated he wanted to pursue a move to the higher level.

But Cox insisted Eastwood wanted a fee if the 27-year-old was to move on and the asking price was understood to have scared off the Stags.
