Follow this security outline to create a secure e-commerce application based on Microsoft technologies.
To create business opportunities beyond static marketing web sites, discussion areas, etc., money has to flow across the wire. In this article, I explain how to secure an e-commerce application on the Net using Microsoft Windows NT and Site Server.
It's important to first define the basic architecture of an e-commerce solution. There are several optional components that go with the must-have components. Table I shows what you might need to build your solution. Figure 1 is an overview of the architecture.
