The Coordinator of the Security Agencies, Gen. David Tinyefuza, ruffled feathers at Parliament on Wednesday when he called for radical land reforms, including the seizure of idle land to be given to those with the capacity to develop it.
In fairness to Gen. Tinyefuza, during his appearance before the special parliamentary committee on pastoralists, the army MP also made other recommendations like regulating cross-border immigration as part of an effort to solve the land problem in Uganda, and the arrest of any individual who is found holding a gun illegally.
