Jun. 30--WEST BOCA -- U.S. Army Sgt. Troy Caicedo fought for two years for his Purple Heart. He survived the Battle of Najaf, the retaking of Fallujah and a roadside bomb blast that knocked his whole crew out and nearly destroyed his tank. "Our injuries will not go unrecognized," Caicedo said Tuesday. And so they will not. U.S. Rep Ron Klein, D-Boca Raton, presented Caicedo with the Purple Heart Tuesday morning at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10556 west of Boca Raton.
