Jun. 30--BOCA RATON -- Early into a new six-year contract, Florida Atlantic University president Frank Brogan may leave to take a new state job. Brogan, whose contract with FAU expires in 2015, is considering applying to become chancellor of the state university system, said Nancy Blosser, chairwoman of the FAU Board of Trustees. He would oversee matters affecting all 11 public universities. Brogan could not be reached for comment, despite attempts by phone, e-mail and through his spokeswoman.
