There are a number of relatively simple rules that must to be adhered to when binding, and in order to make sure our clients help themselves, we have begun sending out a set of guidlines.

For us, and many of our customers, these are obvious points. But for some they may be crucial for ensuring that a job comes back at the quality and price they expected.

There are of course many factors that need to be accounted for when ordering a job, but these guidelines provide a grounding in the basics.

As far as dimensions go, we tend to stick to a paper stock under 170gsm when carrying out perfect or burst binding, while we work to a 5mm head trim, requiring a 10mm …
