Don't expect the best gasoline-powered cars to fight with the Audi and Peugeot diesels, at least not after an all-out qualifying attempt from Aston Martin Racing.
Aston Martin faces tough opposition behind the diesels. Oreca has put together a strong program with a new car, an AIM-badged Judd V10 engine and a driver lineup that includes former Grand Prix winner Olivier Panis and F1 hopeful Bruno Senna. Pescarolo, using its own chassis and a Judd engine, may well have the fastest gasoline car, but it has put its best drivers in its factory-supported Peugeot.

A LACK OF RACE EXPERIENCE WITH THE PORSCHE IS THE ONLY THING TO QUESTION, AT LEAST BEFORE THE EVENT BEGINS.
