BioModa wants to bring to market a system to identify lung cancer years earlier than is now possible.

PAOLI - BioModa Inc. is near a deal it expects will accelerate development of its system for the early detection of lung cancer.

"This new technology will not only provide early detection, but may also provide a more efficient method for the treatment of lung cancer," said Dr. Jeffrey L. Gerwin, the biomedical products company's chief executive officer and chief technical officer.

Garwin would not disclose the name of BioModa's joint venture partner, but he did say the deal could be concluded by year-end. BioModa is hopeful its system, called the TCPP test, …
