Macromedia is further tightening the integration between its various graphics and multimedia products with FreeHand 8, its design software for Windows and Macintosh.
Graphics authored in FreeHand can now be easily exported to Macromedia's Flash vector graphics format for use on the Web, company officials said. The upgrade also includes a plug-in that enables a FreeHand graphic or Flash animation to be a controllable multimedia element within Macromedia Director.
One beta tester said the upgrade is a major leap for FreeHand users.
