Jun. 7--DELRAY BEACH -- Match Point, the company responsible for several major tennis events at the Tennis Center, wants Delray Beach to spend $375,000 a year to bring the first ATP Champions Tour event to the city. Match Point Inc.'s Mark Baron, who runs events such as the International Tennis Championships and the ATP World Tour, asked the City Commission last week to co-sponsor the event and pay $375,000, plus an annual 3 percent increase for the next 20 years.
