After much publicity since being announced in April, Quark has released version 4.0 of its Xpress page layout software. Incorporating more than 75 new features, the code has been rewritten completely to provide one base for both Macintosh and Windows versions. Thus, users with both platforms will have access to the update immediately, through Quark's regular distribution channels around the world.

Among the highlights of the new release, as we have noted previously, are B[Theta]zier drawing capabilities and other new illustration tools, a suite of features geared to long-document production, and a refined user interface employing popout tools and tabbed dialog boxes for easier navigation.
