About two-thirds of the participants have plans control compensation costs, and the most prevalent practice is to control OT salary. About 16% of participants have applied a salary freeze, and 3.7% of them have applied a salary cut.

Compared with other industries, auto and semiconductor industries have more companies that are freezing salaries, and about 20% of companies in these industries have reported such a practice. For the machinery, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, more than half of the participants reported they do not have a plan to control compensation costs thus far.
