The fight to be the toughest.

FOUR professionals from Nigeria, five from Japan and one each from Canada, the United Kingdom and New Zealand are among the triathletes fighting to be the toughest in the XTERRA Malaysia - Kuantan Off-Road Triathlon on June 6-7.

To date, 27 professionals, including three women, and Sam Gardner, the Xterra Saipan, Japan and Guam champion and Mike Vine, the World No 2 (Xterra USA), have confirmed participation.

About 500 participants from 20 countries have signed up for the event.

Among the challengers are triathletes from Brunei, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Switzerland and Finland.
