[Adnan] Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has described Saudi stands on Iraq as negative despite the positive initiatives launched by the government to establish a normal and positive relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He regretted the fact that these initiatives were interpreted negatively and viewed as signs of weakness.

In a statement posted on the website of the National Media Centre, Al-Maliki affirmed that Iraq was successful in opening up to most states.
