Section: General News - Public health authorities in the southern Province of Surat Thani are intensely coping with the outbreak of the mosquito-borne disease Chigunkunya in the Province.

Medical Doctor Nattawut Prasertsiripong, Surat Thani Public Health Officer, said he had instructed village health volunteers to put insecticide into the sources of mosquito larva in all communities to reduce the number of mosquitoes, vectors of the Chigunkunya disease.
