Tokyo, 27 May: The number of new-flu [swine flu] infections in Japan came to 354 in nine prefectures as of early Wednesday [27 May].

The Kawasaki city government in Kanagawa Prefecture, west of Tokyo, said early Wednesday that a woman in her 30s living in the city who recently returned from the United States was confirmed infected with the new H1NI strain of influenza.
