Lions expect a tougher time in SA this tour McGeechan says Springboks have a 'good captain and quality coaches' ZEENA ISAACS Rugby Correspondent SHORTLY after touching down in SA yesterday, British and Irish Lions coach Ian McGeechan admitted the team expected a more challenging tour than their successful 1997 series.

This, he said, was mainly because the top Springbok players were peaking at the perfect time.

The Lions arrived in SA yesterday morning for their historic six-week tour which features 10 matches three of them Tests and immediately stressed the importance of gelling as a squad this week.
