Today, Nocciolino's success producing Broadway shows at Shea's Performing Arts Center is at least indirectly responsible for plans to undertake a $14.5 million expansion.
Nocciolino, 45, is one of the causes for Shea's expansion's effect.
"There's no question about that," said Patrick Fagan, Shea's president and chief operating officer.
Like Fagan, Nocciolino came on board when the downtown landmark was at low ebb. The theater was dogged by a pockmarked reputation of cancelled shows and questionable bookings.
