Dispatch Management plans public offering in national consolidation play
Two longtime courier firms in the Houston market have become acquisition targets of a New York-based messenger service.
A&W Couriers Inc. and Houston Flash Delivery Inc. are set to be acquired when Dispatch Management Services Corp. files to conduct an initial public offering, possibly by mid-November.
Each of the Houston firms has about 15 employees and $1.5 million in annual revenues. Purchase prices are not being disclosed.
Joan Lusky Levy, owner of A&W Couriers, confirms that she is selling her 21-year-old company to DMS, but a final agreement has not been reached. …
