May 24--Turns out Will Ohman never came as close to joining the Marlins this spring as some reports indicated. Ohman, the veteran situational left-hander who got caught between a fine walk year and a lousy economy, confirmed the Marlins "made a formal offer" in February, but that was as far as it went. "We were never in serious discussions," Ohman said during a recent visit to South Florida with the rampaging Dodgers. "It wasn't something I was comfortable with.
